Oakley brought home two ribbons today for her qualifying jumps toward a NADD/AKC dock jumping title.

We had a great day at Thirsty Farmer Brew Works. Nice convenient grounds, clean bathrooms and decent food for lunch.

There are a lot of organizations out there but North American Dock Diving has a partnership with AKC so her jumps can go toward a title. So we will stay with them competition wise for now and see how she likes it.

Today was her second competition and her first time jumping into a pool. We took one practice jump and she had it figured out.

Her best jump on her first splash was 13ft 9 inches, a Junior level jump and a new record for her There are 5 divisions based on jump length, Novice, Junior, Senior, Master and Elite.

We entered a second splash so she had 2 more jumps. She jumped 15 some feet and her second jump set her new personal best of 16feet 7 inches!. That jump will count toward a Senior title!

So crazy to think her best jump from her first competion was a little over 3 feet. And each time out she has just kept gaining feet. She hasn’t leveled out yet either. Hopefully we can enter another time or two before the season is done.
